School Dance by magik2005 School Dance by magik2005
(The missing scene from "Hungry Hungry Homer"; in my mind, anyway...) :)

The Springfield Elementary kids enjoy a school dance. Bart dances with Terri, after she was convinced by Homer to go out with Bart.

This is the turning point for the two in my reality, who have previously claimed to detest each (in public, anyway). This is practically canon as Bart had already asked Terri to the dance during the episode, only to be initially rejected by Terri. Homer convinced her, with Mrs. Krabappel's help, that Bart and Terri couldn't do any better than each other...;)

The other kids are: Allison Taylor with Lewis, Mike Shephard with Becky (from Lisa's class), and Sherri with Ronan Cassidy. *

I thought Terri and Sherri were twins, but here Sherri is taller then her sister Terri.

They are the same height, I just stuffed up the perspective big-time on this pic...:(

Hmm... it's still weird if I think about it... I mean, Terri had been convinced to go out with Bart by Homer and Krabappel- I figure normally a kid wouldn' listen to adults. :D

She and Sherri might have a bit more respect for Krabappel than Bart does, seeing as they are (next to Martin) top of their class.

Maybe she didn't want to end up like her teacher, loveless and desperate...:)

Ooh I really like Terri's clothes here.

If only they'd been a little more clear about which twin Homer was talking to in that episode. The DVD commentary just ignored the scene.

Yeah, they just rambled on and on about some stupid kid, and had nothing to do with the scene at all. A waste of disk-space...

Well from what I remember, they were just talking about what they like best in the show or something. However, their menu screen appearance was very welcome.:D They didn't even answer the question of "Where was the other one at the time" (Homer was sitting in her seat after all).

I guess in my reality it was Sherri who Bart asked out. Since Bart's pretty much scared of Terri to start with.:D

I think it was actually Terri, as her voice was pitched a little lower than is usual for Sherri (at least I think it is; it's hard to tell unless they are both speaking, and Sherri usually has the higher-pitched voice...). :)

Ah, I'm not the only one who noticed the voice difference.

In this case I was going by the "My sister likes you" line which I think was spoken by Sherri. Also in hello gutter hello fadder I think Homer adressed Serri as "That girl who Bart has a crush on".

I think it was, but it's hard to tell who is who unless they both speak together...:)

On an unrelated item, I've just watched "Bart's Friend Falls In Love" (Season 3/Ep23).

As they were introducing Samantha Stanky to the class, I noticed that a couple of shots showed the twins' lower-bodies revealed under their desks, something I've not seen in any other episode (the desks usually conceal the students lower-halves. It must have been an unusual angle for the 'camera', one that gave the viewers a rare look up their skirts. ;)

I've noticed from reading web-posts on other sites that panty-shots have been seen quite a few times on the later episodes (Lisa mostly, though the Twins had another when they dived behind a rock on "Das Bus", and during the bus ride during "Skinner's Sense Of Snow".)

Makes me glad that they are throwing these little tidbits in, as they've shown Bart and Homer partially-undressed or even naked many times, but rarely the females (a bit sexist, really)...:)

Well I think most of the time the twins' dresses conceal their underwear. From what I remember in that scene you mentioned the twins were drawn none too well, with crows' feet and everything.

I didn't see anything in das bus and technically in Skinner's sense of snow whichever twin was flipped upside down wasn't in a panty shot since the colouring makes it look like she wasn't weraing anything.(that's-a smart cencorship )

Well I don't mind casual nudity, they've shown Maggie and several other babies like that, they SHOULD make it all or nothing.

I agree about the casual nudity part. When we were kids, my younger sister and I used to skinny-dip all the time when nobody else was around (at least until she started puberty, and Mum stopped us from doing that again...:()
